AEDRTC Eating Disorders Research Supervisor & Student Support Program (ED-ResPro)

Building research skills, confidence, and connection across the eating disorders field

The Eating Disorders Research Supervisor & Student Support Program (ED-ResPro) is a national capacity-building initiative led by the Australian Eating Disorders Research and Translation Centre (AEDRTC), in collaboration with researchers from La Trobe University, Monash University, and Deakin University.

ED-ResPro is designed to strengthen research skills, mentorship, collaboration, and career development across psychology, biomedical sciences, and allied health. The program supports students, emerging researchers, and supervisors in building practical research capability and advancing evidence in eating disorders, from early training through to publication.

ED-ResPro brings together key elements of contemporary research practice, including co-production, lived-experience engagement, research translation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Disciplines and Registration

All ED-ResPro streams follow the same structure across:

  • Allied Health
  • Biomedical Sciences
  • Psychology

Content and speakers are tailored to each discipline. Participants will be asked to nominate their discipline when registering.

Program Streams

ED-ResPro is delivered through three interconnected streams. Participants may engage in one or more streams, depending on their career stage and goals.
