Authors

Courtney P. McLean, Zhibin Chen, Richard Song, Jessica Le, Joanne Fielding, Gemma Sharp (2024)

The V-EDS is an 18-item self-report screening tool designed to assess eating disorder symptoms specifically in individuals following a vegetarian or vegan diet.

What this tool is good for:

This tool presents questions targeted to the vegan/vegetarian population to better assess eating disorder symptomatology and potential confounding motivations for a restrictive vegan/vegetarian diet. It is non-diagnostic and may be used to indicate whether further assessment for eating disorder is required.
