Authors

Ulrike Schmidt, Janet Treasure, Karina Allen (2024)

MANTRA is a NICE-recommended individual therapy for adults with anorexia nervosa. It is based on a cognitive-interpersonal model and involves carer participation. It offers a comprehensive manual for the cognitive-interpersonal treatment of anorexia nervosa. A version to be used with adolescents have also been developed.

What this tool is good for:

MANTRA is effective for treating anorexia nervosa by addressing cognitive and interpersonal factors that maintain the disorder.
