The EED is a self-report questionnaire designed to assess compulsive exercise behavior among individuals with eating disorders. The EED comprises a global score, as well as 4 subscales: (1) Compulsive Exercise, (2) Positive and healthy exercise, (3) awareness of bodily signals, (4) weight and shape related exercise.

What this tool is good for:

This tool is useful for identifying and evaluating the extent of dysfunctional exercise behaviors in individuals with eating disorders. It may assist on identifying priorities and targets for a patient's treatment.
