Eating Disorders in Youth-Questionnaire

Authors

Susanne Kurz, Zoé van Dyck, Daniela Dremmel, Simone Munsch, Anja Hilbert (2015)

The EDY-Q assesses early-onset restrictive eating disturbances in 8-13 year old children. The items are based on criteria for Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID).

What this tool is good for:

The EDY-Q is a useful instrument for early detection and intervention in eating disorders among young children. It is specifically designed to assess early-onset restrictive eating disturbances in children aged 8-13 years. It also asesses three variants of ARFID: FAED, SE, and FD. When conducting the EDY-Q with young children, it may be important to read the questions to them and/or explain the terminology.
