Clinical Impairment Scale

Authors

Kristin Bohn, Helen A. Doll, Zafra Cooper, Marianne O'Connor, Robert L. Palmer, Christopher G. Fairburn (2008)

The CIA is a short self-administered measure that assesses the impairment caused by current eating disorder psychopathology. It is intended to be completed right after diagnostic tools and offers a continuous assessment of the severity of secondary impairment in psychosocial functioning.

What this tool is good for:

The CIA evaluates the impact of eating disorders on various aspects of life over the past 28 days, providing valuable insights for clinicians and researchers in understanding and addressing the psychosocial consequences of eating disorders.
