The Anorexia Nervosa Stages of Change Questionnaire (ANSOCQ) is a self-report tool designed to assess the readiness to recover in individuals with anorexia nervosa. It is based on Prochaska and DiClemente’s stages of change model, which includes precontemplation, contemplation, preparation, action, and maintenance stages.
What this tool is good for:
The ANSOCQ helps clinicians and researchers understand where a person is in their journey towards recovery from anorexia nervosa. It evaluates the individual’s motivation and readiness to engage in treatment and make behavioral changes. It can be used to monitor changes in motivation over time, helping to adjust treatment strategies as needed.
