Ms Alice Chow

Griffith University

Seeking External Supervisor for Master’s Research on Anorexia Nervosa

Hello! My name is Alice Chow and I am an incoming Master of Health and Medical Research student at Griffith University. I am currently seeking an external co-supervisor with expertise in eating disorders - particularly anorexia nervosa - who would be interested in collaborating on a research project focused on adolescent treatment innovation and early intervention strategies.

I hold a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from Griffith University, and my academic, professional, and lived experiences have all shaped a deep passion for eating disorders research. I am especially committed to driving change in how we approach prevention, treatment models, and recovery in young people with anorexia nervosa.

Areas of interest include:

• Early intervention and youth-focused care models

• Improving inpatient or stepped care treatment frameworks

• Integrating biological and psychological perspectives (e.g., the gut–brain axis)

• Lived experience - informed and co-designed treatment approaches

I am more than willing to travel to collaborate and engage in hands on research. I’m also actively working with Griffith to secure an internal supervisor and welcome external co-supervision subject to university approval.

If you would be open to supervising, advising, or simply connecting for a conversation, I would be truly grateful.

Warm regards,

Alice Chow
